Lloyd WMU will present carnations to the guests at Brynwood Nursing Center in Monticello, Sunday afternoon, February 28th at 2:00 pm. Anyone who would like to go, sing and visit the guests are invited also.
We are looking forward to the ExtraOrdinary Women’s Conference April 9-10 in Pensacola. This will be a wonderful time of renewal, faith strengthening and sisterhood bonding. Registrations are still being received online at www.ewomen.net. Early bird through March 2nd is $59. Group rate is $49. Be sure to register with First Baptist Lloyd. We have two tickets available. See Chris or Paulette.
Our March missions emphasis will focus on Home missions with the Annie Armstrong Mission Offering. Pray about what you can do to support missions locally and in our own state and nation. Love is an action verb. Let’s all pitch in and do our part to keep the story of Jesus alive and well in our home and country. Onward Christian soldiers speak up for and act upon your faith. March on! March on!

The Hostess Committee will have Easter Lilies available for purchase and placement in the Sanctuary over Easter time. If you wish to purchase a lily in honor or in memory of a loved one please complete the form provided in the Lobby and give it to me or Carolyn Cheshire, along with your payment for the cost of the plant. The cost of the plants this year will be $8.00 each. This is a beautiful way to remember and honor loved ones who have been a blessing to your life.
As we all know, Jackson and Cianna are planning to be married in June of this year. We will be hosting a wedding shower in the honor of the happy couple on March 27, 2010, in the Fellowship Hall. Please mark your calendar to hold this date open and we will be providing further details at a later date. Jackson has been a wonderful blessing to our church and we extend them our best wishes.
We wish to thank the campers for the wonderful work they did in our kitchen area and Fellowship Hall. We will miss them, but know their wonderful work and testimony is much needed at other locations. We wish them well and will continue to pray for their ministry.

We are entering our Spring quarter. Exciting studies traveling through the Book of Daniel to in depth study in Colossians and Ecclesiastes all focusing on Jesus Christ and what He can do through believers as well as what believers can do and face with Him as part of their lives. God's Word unlocks the mysteries and truths about living in a world that offers challenges at every turn. A relationship with Jesus Christ is the beginning to understanding and seeing these events for what they are but also how to "Face Your Giants" with Him by your side. Come and unpack what God's Word has to say with us and arm yourself to face life's challenges.
